We believe in honesty and transparency. We want you to know how payments work, what taxes apply, and what to expect with common payment methods.

Nebraska State Sales Tax

As a licensed Nebraska business, we are required by law to collect sales tax.

Nebraska’s state sales tax is 5.5%.
This is collected at the time of your final payment and applies to the total purchase price, not just the remaining balance.

***We do not profit from taxes — all funds are submitted directly to the State of Nebraska.

Example

Adoption Contract

Purchase price: $2,000 plus Nebraska sales tax and applicable fees.

Deposit (non-refundable):

Cash/Zelle: $500
Venmo Business: $510= $500 + Venmo fee ($10)

Remaining balance due before or at pickup.

Cash/Zelle: $1,610= $1,500 + NE tax ($110)
Venmo Business: $1,641= $1,500 + NE tax ($110) + Venmo fee ($31)

All payments are final. Deposits and fees are non-refundable. Venmo Business fees are subject to change by Venmo. Buyer is responsible for any fee in effect at the time of payment.

Kittens are $2,000 with $500 non-refundable deposit

(for total with taxes and fees, see above sections)

Kittens go home after 12 weeks of age with two veterinarian checks, spay/neutered, with a microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations, and dewormed.

For your convenience, you can review our full adoption contract before placing a deposit. We encourage all families to read this document carefully so there are no surprises later. Transparency is important to us, and we want you to feel confident about every step of the adoption process.

Pickup Coordination

I will coordinate a tentative pickup date and time as soon as possible.
While waiting for your kitten, we will communicate regularly and lock in the final date after your kitten’s well-kitten visit.
I am open to meeting up to one hour away for pickup.
If I am already traveling to Omaha, Lincoln, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, or Fayetteville, AR, I can often accommodate pickups along the way.
